Custom vibration testing systems are just another way Thermotron can help you meet your testing needs.

Whether you need advanced shock capabilities while maintaining typical sinusoidal and random pulses, or you want to perform high shock testing on a small slide and then a different test on a large slide with the same electrodynamic shaker, Thermotron can help. From integrating a shaker with an AGREE chamber, to custom colors to meet brand standards, to color coding the chamber for safety (i.e. anything with electricity underneath is painted a different color), Thermotron can be your one-stop shop for your custom vibration testing needs.

Thermotron’s Electrodynamic Shaker Test System provides a test platform for transportation simulation, mechanical shock, mission profiling, environmental stress screening (ESS), and more.

With improved dynamic performance in displacement, velocity, acceleration and force, electrodynamic shakers accurately simulate a wide range of conditions that can help improve product quality and test reliability.

A Thermotron electrodynamic stirrer has a variety of applications, making it a versatile and highly adaptable piece of equipment.

With many different models and configurations to choose from, Thermotron electrodynamic stirrers are a reliable and essential addition to your laboratory.

Thermotron’s innovative accelerated stress testing systems for Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT) and Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS) rapidly detect product failures using industry-leading, patented technology.

Performing HALT and HASS improves product reliability by maximizing laboratory efficiency, reducing costs associated with warranties and recalls.

Repetitive Shock

HALT and HASS are powered by repetitive shock vibrations, achieved by a vibrating table. Pneumatic hammers strike the bottom of the table, providing vibrations on 3 axes and 3 rotations, simultaneously.

Thermotron’s patented repetitive shock tables have a unique thermal insulation system that minimizes the thermal load on the chamber and provides a stable condition for the operation of the impactor.

Impactor cooling mechanisms help impactors last longer and reduce maintenance downtime for more effective and efficient testing. The shaker’s spaced mounting design maximizes vibration transmissibility and provides accurate test results.

Multi-zone control

By nature, repetitive shock shakers are not uniform across the entire surface of the table, nor can they control down to a Grms level; this can produce inaccurate results because the level of vibration actually experienced by the product may be higher or lower, depending on the position of the accelerometer.

Thermotron’s unique patented Multi-Zone Control solves this problem. This optional feature controls the repetitive shock table in one, two, or four zones of the table. Through the AST-8800, Multi-Zone Control automatically makes dynamic adjustments to each zone, compensating for system variability including table inconsistencies, impactor wear, air supply, fixtures, and product mounting to accurately test multiple products simultaneously.

Multi-zone control ensures excellent uniformity to test products within 5% of each Grms zone control, making HALT and HASS testing more controllable and consistent.

Each zone can also be set to a different Grms level or the Multi-Zone control can be turned off to control the entire table at one Grms level.

AST-8800 Controller

The AST-8800 controller features an intuitive Windows®-based graphical user interface. The color monitor displays power spectral density, temperature, and vibration data on one screen.

Users define how multiple accelerometers and thermocouples are used to control and monitor the stresses delivered to the product under test.

The AST-8800 controller can be configured to monitor the run time of wear items and automatically alert the operator when periodic maintenance is required.

The system is Ethernet compatible and web-enabled for anytime, anywhere virtual access. Thermotron’s multi-level password-based security system protects sensitive data.

ThermAlarm

Independently prevents the temperature from exceeding user-defined limits.

Product temperature control

Control the air temperature based on the product temperature.

Data recording

Reports system events, temperature and vibration levels.

Program and data storage

Available on hard drive, DVD, USB or network drive.

Built-in vibration spectrum analyzer

View the table and product vibration response.

Product vibration control

Impactor Monitor System

Illustrates the status of the simulation devices on the screen. The controller monitors the air pressure of each simulation device during testing, adjusting the air pressure for more consistent and accurate results.

Repetitive impact vibration tables generate multi-axis vibrations using one or more pneumatic hammers (also known as impactors) that strike the bottom of the vibration table on which a product is secured.

Thermotron’s repetitive shock vibration test systems are specifically designed for very aggressive temperature change rates and high levels of multi-axis repetitive shock vibration.

Repetitive shaking tables can be used as stand-alone units or combined with an AGREE or AST chamber for HALT/HASS testing. The repetitive shock vibration system incorporates many unique features designed to meet a wide range of vibration testing and screening applications for many industries. The basic system uses multi-zone control. This patented feature tests products more evenly and more effectively. As a result, you get increased product reliability, reduced warranty and recall risks, and better utilized company resources.
