The first Energy Community is underway in Pieve Emanuele, in the south of the Metropolitan City of Milan.
The first Energy Community of the territory was established under the umbrella of Apa Confartigianato Imprese , that is, an aggregation of end users of electricity which has the aim of generating economic, environmental and social benefits for the members and the territory involved.
Together with Fratelli Galli , around the table there are 8 other innovative entrepreneurs “it is an important moment for our territory and in general for the Confartigianato system. The reference rules do not impose a specific legal form, but they are all consistent in prescribing essential objectives and characteristics that direct the choice and limit the field. Today our companies are involved, but discussions are already underway that will soon open up to public administrations as well”.
The Energy Community instrument addresses the challenges associated with the Ecological Transition , which is at the heart of the United Nations Agenda 2030 and the Next Generation EU maxi plan. It brings several advantages, including lower costs thanks to virtual self-consumption and physical self-consumption, the promotion of energy consumption from renewable sources, as well as more stable energy supply costs over time.
According to the approved statute, the following will be members of the CER of Pieve Emanuele with equal dignity: Artisans, micro, small and medium-sized businesses; the Municipality; Citizens and families of the area (domestic end users who are registered owners of a collection point, or POD).
Galli Brothers: Innovation and Sustainability
The Fratelli Galli Company is preparing to face a new phase of its journey, focusing on sustainability and ecological transition. In an era in which environmental responsibility is at the center of corporate strategies, Fratelli Galli confirms its commitment to reducing environmental impact with concrete and ambitious projects. The company will soon completely renew its lighting system, adopting the latest energy-saving technologies. This intervention will not only reduce energy consumption, but will also help improve operational efficiency and reduce CO₂ emissions related to production activity. In parallel, a significant investment is planned in the installation of photovoltaic panels. This project will allow the company to produce energy from renewable sources and cover a large part of its energy needs through self-consumption. The objective is twofold: to reduce energy costs and reduce dependence on fossil fuels, in line with the principles of the energy transition. These interventions represent only the beginning of a broader strategy that Fratelli Galli intends to pursue to make its activities increasingly respectful of the environment. The choice to innovate with sustainable technologies demonstrates the company's desire to be a protagonist of a change that aims to reconcile production efficiency and protection of the planet. With these initiatives, Fratelli Galli not only looks to the future with an innovative vision, but also sets an example of social and environmental responsibility in its sector.
